Havelock
Stay one night if you are driving Nelson–Blenheim, or use it as a half-day stop for the mussel cruise and Pelorus Sound mail boat.
Havelock is a small marina town on State Highway 6, 30 minutes from Blenheim and 45 from Nelson, and the main road gateway to Pelorus Sound. It is known as the green-shell mussel capital, and its two real draws are the water: a mussel cruise and the Pelorus mail boat. The town itself is a short walk.
