Go for 1–2 nights only if you have a car: Daeheungsa and Ttangkkeut are 40–60 min apart by road and buses are thin.
Haenam is South Korea's southwestern land's end: a rural county of temples, beaches and reed fields, not a city. Daeheungsa temple on Duryunsan and the Ttangkkeut headland are the two anchors; everything else is spread across a county 44 km wide. Without a car you see one anchor per day at best, so most travellers give it one night between Mokpo and Jindo, or skip it.
