The south-west of Grenada is one base: the beach at Grand Anse, the harbour capital 10 km north, and the airport a short drive south. Interior trips need a driver, because roads are narrow and steep. Keep one bed, use taxis or minibuses between the two, and keep a buffer day before your flight home in hurricane season.

The harbour capital: Carenage, Fort George and the museum. The beach hotels are at Grand Anse, 10 km south.
