Grantsville
Skip unless you need a cheap overnight on I-68 or want Pennsylvania Dutch food. Half a day is enough: see the Casselman River Bridge, eat at the Casselman Inn, then move on.
Grantsville is a 766-person town on I-68 in western Maryland, best known for the 1840 Casselman River Bridge and Mennonite-run Casselman Inn. There is no reason to stop longer than a meal and a photo. Use it as a quick break between Cumberland and Morgantown, or as a budget base for nearby state parks.
