Graciosa is the smallest inhabited Canary Island: 734 residents, one village (Caleta de Sebo), no airport and dirt tracks instead of roads. It sits 2 km across the channel from Órzola on Lanzarote, so most visitors come as a day trip. A single night buys you empty beaches at dawn and a sunset over the Risco de Famara cliffs.

- Greeting: Two kisses on the cheek (right then left) between friends and when introduced socially; handshake in business; avoid: Being stiff — Spaniards stand close and touch arms
- Meal times: Late lunch and dinner; long sobremesa (chat after eating); avoid: Rushing to leave or asking for the bill with the last bite

- Siesta hours: Keep noise down in residential buildings 15:00–17:00 and after 23:00; avoid: Phone calls to people at lunch time

Scams and watch-outs
- Playa de las Conchas has strong Atlantic currents: do not swim there.
- Water is desalinated and piped from Lanzarote: use it sparingly.
- Mobile signal exists only in Caleta de Sebo; the rest of the island has none. Finish important calls before the ferry.
- The Playa del Salado camping area is closed.
- The Chinijo Museum is temporarily closed: check before you walk there.
Very low crime; the real risks are sun, wind, strong currents at Las Conchas and no mobile signal outside the village. Carry water and tell someone your route.
