Gozo is Malta's second island: 14 km by 5 km, about 31,000 people, reached by a 25-minute ferry from Ċirkewwa or a 45-minute fast ferry from Valletta. It is quieter and greener than the main island, with the Ġgantija temples, the Citadel at Victoria, the dive sites and cliffs of the west coast, and the beaches at Ramla and San Blas. A day-trip covers Victoria and one coast; two or three nights let you walk, dive and eat without watching the ferry clock.
