Gorgan

Gorgan is the capital of Golestan province, a green city at the edge of the Hyrcanian forests. Its main draw is the Great Wall of Gorgan, the second-longest defensive wall in the world, plus forest parks and Turkmen carpet shopping. Most travellers pass through on the way to Mashhad or the Caspian coast.
