Gondia
Use Gondia as a stopover between Nagpur and Madhya Pradesh or a base for Nagzira and Navegaon parks: one night is enough for the city, two if you safari.
Gondia is a small city in eastern Maharashtra named after the Gondi people. It has no major sights of its own but sits close to two wildlife parks — Nagzira and Navegaon — that draw birders and tiger-trackers. Most travellers pass through on the rail line between Nagpur and Raipur or Jabalpur.
