Golovin
Skip unless you are hiking the Iditarod Trail or visiting family. Half a day covers the village; no hotels, no restaurants.
Golovin is a tiny Iñupiaq village on the Seward Peninsula, 105 km east of Nome. It has no tourist infrastructure — no hotel, no café, no shop. The only reason to come is the Iditarod Trail (the route passes through) or a personal visit. Most travellers should skip it.
