Godbout
One night is enough: ferry, museum, bay walk. Two nights only if you fish the Godbout River or hike to the cross.
Godbout is a small Côte-Nord village of about 300 people on Route 138, built around a deep bay that shelters it from the Gulf. Its working ferry to Matane is the main employer, and that traffic supports a handful of inns, a campground and two places to eat. Come for the ferry crossing, the Indigenous art museum and the bay; treat it as a stop on the Route des Baleines, not a destination in itself.
