Glen Williams is a hamlet of a few hundred people in the Credit River valley, part of Halton Hills, about 45 minutes by car west of Toronto. Its draw is a compact Main Street of 19th-century mill buildings now holding artists' studios, an antiques market and two places to eat. Two to four hours covers it; the village has almost no beds, so most visitors stay in nearby Georgetown, Acton, Milton, Oakville or Burlington.

You need a car. There is no bus or train into the village; GO Transit and VIA Rail serve Georgetown, about 5 km (3.1 mi) south, and you would need a taxi from there.
