The honest verdict

George Town is a small harbour capital of a few streets, so the town itself takes half a day. The trip is decided by weather, the cruise-ship calendar and how you get around: taxis are fixed-fare and expensive, buses run mainly along the west coast, and a rental car makes the island easy. Four areas cover a first visit; Stingray City and Rum Point are boat or drive days on top of them.
