Garden Grove is a suburban Orange County city of about 171,000 people, 5 km west of Disneyland and 8 km north of Santa Ana. Its one big sight is Christ Cathedral, the glass church built for a televangelist and now the Catholic diocese's mother church. The rest is Korean and Vietnamese food, Go parlours and mid-priced chain hotels along Harbor Blvd. Most travellers sleep here to be near the parks at a lower rate, not to sightsee in the city itself.

Get around
A car is the practical default: the city is spread out and the freeways (I-5, 22, 57) do the work. Rideshare covers short hops to Disneyland for about US$10–18 each way. OCTA buses run along Harbor and Garden Grove Blvds but are slow; there is no rail station in the city.
