Galapagar
Galapagar is a quick stop for the bullring and beef, not a base: half a day from Madrid, or skip it for Toledo or El Escorial.
Galapagar is a town of 34,000 in the Community of Madrid, known for bullfighting, stock-breeding and meadows. It has a small historic centre and a few sights, but most travellers use it as a lunch stop or a short detour from Madrid. The main draw is the Plaza de Toros and the local beef restaurants.
