Fuji
富士
Skip Fuji city unless you have a specific reason (work, visiting friends, or the Land of OZ bar). Use Fujinomiya or Gotemba for Mt. Fuji access instead.
Fuji city is a mid-sized industrial and residential city on Shizuoka's coast, with a Shinkansen station but few sights. Most travellers pass through on the Tokaido line without stopping. The local specialty is Fujisancho coffee-bean confectionery, but the city itself offers little for a tourist itinerary.
