Fuding is a county-level city in Ningde, at Fujian's northern edge, 30 min by high-speed rail from Wenzhou and about 1.5 h from Fuzhou. It is known for Taimu Mountain's granite peaks and caves, for white tea grown on the surrounding hills, and for the ferry to Yushan Island. Sights sit outside the city, so plan transport before you arrive.
