On foot: the station to the esplanade is about a 15-min walk (0.75 miles) down Connaught Avenue. Local buses run about every 30 min between Walton and Clacton and about every 2 h between Walton and Colchester, stopping near the station. National Cycle Route 150 follows the coast. A car helps for the Naze, Hamford Water and out-of-town supermarkets.
