Freehold is the seat of Monmouth County and the site of the Battle of Monmouth, the longest engagement of the American Revolution. Get around
A car is the practical choice: the battlefield, orchards and mall are spread along US-9 and Route 33, and buses are limited. Downtown is walkable once you park.
