Frederikshavn

Frederikshavn is a Kattegat port and the practical gateway to Skagen and to ferries for Gothenburg and Oslo. The town itself is small: a pedestrian street, a harbour, a handful of wartime and maritime museums, and a free loan-bike scheme that makes the spread-out sights easy. Get around
The centre is easiest on foot. City buses connect outer districts to the centre. Loan bikes are available from Easter to November with a kr 100 deposit; train services run to Skagen in about 40 min and south toward Aalborg.
