Františkovy Lázně
Go for one night, or as a half-day stop from Cheb: the spa core is flat, walkable and done in 3–4 hours.
Františkovy Lázně is the smallest of the West Bohemian spa triangle, founded in 1793 and part of the UNESCO-listed Great Spa Towns of Europe. The colonnade, parks and mineral springs sit in a compact grid you can cross on foot in 20 minutes. Most travellers see it as a stop between Cheb and Mariánské Lázně, or as a quiet overnight with a spa treatment.

Get around
Walk. The historic core is flat and small; the Aquaforum, Amerika forest park and the Small Chateau lookout are the only reasons to move further, and those are 15–30 min on foot or a short taxi. Local trains link Cheb (about 10 min) and Mariánské Lázně.
