Fort-de-France by district
Fort-de-France is small. The waterfront park, La Savane, sits on the bay beside the fort. The cathedral and the Schoelcher Library form the historic core one street back. The Grand Marché and the Rivière Madame canal mark the west side, and the town hall and quieter residential streets lie north.
