Fátima is a pilgrimage town in the Ourém municipality, about 1 h 30 min by bus from Lisbon. Its main draw is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima in Cova da Iria, with the Way of the Cross at Valinhos and the shepherds’ homes in Aljustrel nearby. One day covers the sanctuary; stay overnight for a pilgrimage date or a slower visit.
