Fabrica di Roma
Use Fabrica di Roma as a one-night base for Falerii Novi and the tuff hill towns, not a destination in itself: the old centre is a 2-hour walk.
Fabrica di Roma is a small tuff-built town in the province of Viterbo, about 26 km from Viterbo and roughly 300 m above sea level, with a medieval castle core and the Roman site of Falerii Novi a short drive away. Most travellers see it in half a day; it works best as a quiet base for the Faliscan countryside between Rome and Viterbo.
