By car: Arthur Street (Regional Road 21) runs north–south, Church Street (Regional Road 86) east–west. The centre is small enough to walk end to end. Grand River Transit route 21 links Elmira with St. Jacobs and ION Conestoga station in Waterloo six days a week; the Waterloo Central Railway runs a seasonal tourist train from St. Jacobs Market and extends into downtown Elmira on festival day.
