Eleme
Skip Eleme as a destination: it's an industrial and port area near Port Harcourt with limited tourist infrastructure. Use it only for a specific business or port visit, or as a brief stop en route to Bonny Island.
Eleme is a local government area in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, centred on the town of Ogale and the port town of Onne. It has a busy market, a few basic hotels and eateries, but no developed tourism. Most travellers pass through on the way to Port Harcourt (30 min north) or Bonny Island. The area is industrial, with oil-and-gas facilities and the Onne port complex. For a traveller, there is little to see or do beyond a market visit or a meal.
