El Rosario
El Rosario is a fuel-and-food stop on Highway 1, not a destination: skip unless you need a break between Ensenada and Guerrero Negro or want to fish at Punta Baja.
El Rosario is a small agricultural town (1,700 people) on the Transpeninsular Highway, 250 km south of Ensenada. It has a famous roadside restaurant, a few basic motels and a beach 8 km west. Most travellers pass through in 30 minutes; only anglers and Baja 1000 fans stay overnight.
