Eket
Half a day to one night: see the oil-town bustle, eat local soups, then move on to Uyo or Ibeno beach.
Eket is an oil-industry hub in Akwa Ibom State, with a humid tropical climate and a brief dry season from November to March. Most travellers pass through for business or as a stop between Uyo and the Atlantic beaches at Ibeno. The town itself offers a few restaurants serving local dishes like Afang soup, but no major tourist sights. One night is enough; many skip it entirely.
