Edithburgh
Give Edithburgh one full day and two nights: jetty dive or tidal-pool swim, Sultana Point walk, then a pub meal. As a day trip from Adelaide (about 3 h each way) it is too far to be worth it.
Edithburgh is a 500-person fishing and holiday town on the eastern side of Yorke Peninsula, 233 km from Adelaide and about a 3-hour drive. It was once South Australia's third-busiest port and a salt exporter; today the drawcards are the jetty (a known shore-dive and snorkel site), the tidal pool cut into the low cliff, the beach and mosaic trail to Sultana Point, the wind farm on the skyline, and the Clan Ranald mass grave at the cemetery. It is a base for two or three quiet nights, not a sightseeing city.

Get around
A car is effectively required for the sights: the town centre is compact and walkable, but the beach, cemetery, wind farm and Sultana Point are spread out, and there is no local town bus. YP Coaches runs a regional bus service to Edithburgh from Adelaide (check timetable and fare); most visitors arrive by car (about 3 h) and then walk the centre. Fuel up at Port Wakefield or a larger Yorke Peninsula town before you arrive.
