Eckerö is a scattered island municipality on mainland Åland, 35–40 minutes by bus from Mariehamn and two hours by ferry from Grisslehamn in Sweden. It holds the Russian-era Mail and Customs House, a hunting and fishing museum, a guest harbour at Käringsund and some of the sunniest summer weather in the Nordic.
