East Greenwich is a small Rhode Island waterfront town on Narragansett Bay, about 10 minutes by car from T.F. Green Airport and 20–25 minutes south of Providence. Its draw is a compact historic Main Street of 18th- and 19th-century buildings, a handful of independent shops and restaurants, and Goddard Memorial State Park on the bay. It is a base for the airport and the southern bay, not a destination in itself.

Get around
A car is the practical choice: the town is spread out and Goddard Park and the Post Road strip are not walkable from Main Street. Main Street itself is walkable end to end in about 15 minutes. RIPTA buses run along the Post Road corridor toward Providence and Wickford; check current timetables. Rideshare and taxis are thin late at night, so book ahead or plan your last ride.
