Duqm
Skip Duqm unless you have a specific reason (work, diving, or a road trip stop between Muscat and Salalah): one night is enough.
Duqm is a fast-growing port and industrial town on Oman's central coast, with a new airport and a handful of resorts. The beaches and nearby forts are wild and empty, but the town itself has little to offer a tourist. Most travellers use it as a one-night stop on the Muscat–Salalah road trip or as a base for diving and fishing charters.
