Dhubri
Half a day is enough: see the Gurdwara, Panbari Mosque and Matiabag Palace, then move on. Use it as a stop between Goalpara and Bongaigaon.
Dhubri is a commercial centre on the Brahmaputra in Lower Assam, close to the Bangladesh border. Its sights — a Sikh gurdwara, the oldest mosque in Assam and a royal palace — can be seen in a few hours. Most travellers pass through on the way to or from Goalpara, Bongaigaon or Tezpur.

Scams and watch-outs
