Dharmanagar
ধর্মনগর
Half a day is enough for Dharmanagar: see Unakoti's rock carvings, then move on to Agartala or the Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary. One night if you want to explore both.
Dharmanagar is Tripura's second city, close to the Bangladesh border. Its main draw is the ancient Unakoti rock-cut temple complex, about 20 km away. The town itself has limited sights, so most travellers use it as a stop between Agartala and the north or as a base for Unakoti and Rowa Wildlife Sanctuary.
