Detian is a small village serving as the Chinese gateway to the Detian (Ban Gioc) Waterfall. Buses from Chongzuo or Nanning bring you to the site in 2–3 h; a short shuttle then reaches the falls. The area has a few three‑star hotels but most visitors view the falls in a few hours and head back.
