Denizli
Stay 1 night in Denizli only if you want Laodicea and a textile bazaar; otherwise sleep at Pamukkale, 20 km north, and treat the city as a bus stop.
Denizli is a working textile and agricultural city of about a million people, and almost everyone passes through it on the way to Pamukkale. It has real sights of its own — Laodicea, a small ethnography museum, the Seljuk Akhan caravanserai — but they are spread out and the city is not the reason people come. Use it for one night, a bus connection or a cheap bed, and put your sightseeing nights at Pamukkale or Karahayıt.
