Dehua
德化
Half a day for the Ceramics Museum and a factory shop; one night if you want to see the kilns and buy porcelain at source. Not a base.
Dehua is a county town in the mountains of Quanzhou prefecture, known for its white porcelain (blanc de chine). The main draw is the Ceramics Museum and the chance to buy porcelain at factory prices. Most travellers come as a day trip from Quanzhou or Xiamen.
