Deeg
Half a day is enough: see the palace and fort, then move on to Bharatpur or Agra. Don't plan an overnight.
Deeg is a small town in Rajasthan, 35 km from Bharatpur, known for the 18th-century Deeg Palace — a summer resort of the Jat rulers with water features and a hollow ceiling that mimics rain. The fort and a September fair add interest, but the town has few other draws and limited lodging. Most travellers visit as a half-day detour from Bharatpur or Agra.
