Daman
दमन
Half a day to one night if you are driving between Kathmandu and Chitwan; skip it as a standalone destination.
Daman is a hill station at 2,400 m on the Tribhuvan Highway, about 80 km southwest of Kathmandu. Its main draw is a single, unimpeded Himalayan panorama that stretches roughly 400 km on a clear morning. There is little else to do beyond a short walk, a lookout tower and a basic meal. Most travellers pass through on the way to or from Chitwan.
