Dalhousie is Canada's most northerly New Brunswick town, sitting where the Restigouche River meets Chaleur Bay, 20 km from Campbellton and about 80 km from Bathurst. The old paper mill closed in 2008 and the town is quiet, so you come for the water, the lighthouse point and the Saturday market, then move on. One full day covers the sights; two if you fish, hike or use it as a stop on the Acadian Coast run.
