Dakhla by district
Dakhla town is a small grid at the head of the peninsula: the fishing port and quay to the north-west, the market to the south, the bay-side promenade to the east, and the main street and cafés in between. Everything the visitor needs in town is within a short petit-taxi ride. The kite camps, the oyster farms and the white dune are outside town, along the peninsula road or across the lagoon.
