Cupertino is a residential tech suburb at the south end of San Francisco Bay, home to Apple's two campuses and a large Chinese-American community. There is no main street and no walkable centre: most businesses sit in strip malls along De Anza and Stevens Creek Boulevards. Treat it as a half-day or one-night stop inside a wider South Bay trip, not a destination on its own.

Get around
A car is the practical choice: De Anza Blvd runs north–south, Stevens Creek Blvd east–west, and Highways 85 and 280 cross the city. VTA buses serve the main corridors but run infrequently and rarely door to door; expect 30–50 min for trips a car does in 10. Streets have bike lanes and biking on the flat grid is reasonably safe. Rideshare is easy to hail but fares spike at commute hours.
