Coral Springs
Skip Coral Springs as a base unless you have a car and a reason (family, golf, a Broward suburb stay): 1 night, or a half-day for the nature center.
Coral Springs is a planned Broward County suburb chartered in 1963, about 30 minutes from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and 45–60 minutes from Miami or West Palm Beach by car. It has no beach and no big-ticket sightline: the draws are parks, the Sawgrass Nature Center, a performing-arts hall and cheaper suburban hotels. Come with a car, for one night or as a family base, and treat the beach towns as day trips.

Get around
A car is the only practical way to move around Coral Springs and Broward County. The city sits on a grid and is easy to drive; I-75, I-95, I-595, US 441, Florida's Turnpike and the Sawgrass Expressway (SR 869) link it to the rest of South Florida. Broward County Transit (BCT) buses run county routes but are slow for sightseeing; taxis and rideshare work but add up. Renting away from the airport is often cheaper.
