The honest verdict

Conakry sits on a narrow peninsula with one main road, so a 12 km leg can take two hours. Power cuts, heavy rain from May to October and political demonstrations can change a day at short notice. Four clusters cover a first visit; the Îles de Los boat and the highlands are separate trips from a kept Conakry bed, and every leg here is a car with a driver you know.
