Get around
A car is effectively required. Main Street (NY 5) runs east–west through Harris Hill and the Hollow; Transit Road (NY 78) is the north–south commercial spine and the Amherst boundary. NFTA Metro buses 48, 49 and 66 only touch Transit Road, with few trips and evening-only outbound service — do not plan around them.
