Churu
Churu is a half-day stop for its painted havelis and desert dunes, best as a detour between Bikaner and Jaipur or Delhi. One night is enough.
Churu is a small desert town in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, known for its 19th-century havelis covered in frescoes and the shifting sand dunes of the Thar Desert. Most travellers visit as a half-day stop between Bikaner and Jaipur, or as a quiet overnight to see the havelis and the nearby Tal Chhapar wildlife sanctuary.
