Chucuito

Half-day trip from Puno: see Inca Uyo, walk to the lake viewpoint, then return. Not a base.

Chucuito is a small lakeside town 18 km south of Puno, known for the Inca Uyo fertility temple and quiet lake views. You can see the main sights in 2–3 hours. Most travellers visit as a half-day trip from Puno, not an overnight stop.
