Choteau is a Teton County seat of about 1,700 people at the junction of US-89 and US-287, on the plains where the Rocky Mountain Front rises. It is a fuel-and-bed stop for Glacier-bound drivers and hunters, with a dinosaur museum, a spring goose migration and a small ski hill within an hour. Two nights is enough; one night covers the town itself.
