Chocorua

Chocorua is a photo stop, not a base: 30 min for the lake view, or a half-day for a short hike. Skip unless you're driving Route 16.

Chocorua is a tiny village in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, best known for the view of Mount Chocorua across Chocorua Lake. Most travellers pull off Route 16 for a swim or a snapshot, then move on.
