Chloride is a former silver-mining town of about 230 people, 18 mi north of Kingman off US-93, that calls itself a living ghost town. There is one place to sleep, a handful of murals and a mine shaft open on odd days. Plan 2–3 hours, or a night if you want the quiet.

On foot. Everything in town is within a few minutes' walk. A car is required to reach Chloride: turn off US-93 at mile marker 53 onto Mohave County Route 125 and drive about 4 mi.
