Chieming
Skip Chieming as a base unless you want a quiet lake stay with golf and spa: one night is enough, or a half-day stop on a Chiemsee tour.
Chieming is a small municipality on the northeast shore of Lake Chiemsee, made up of the villages Chieming, Hart, Ising and Oberhochstätt. It offers a 17th-century winged altar church, fine Bavarian and Italian dining, and a large resort hotel with spa and equestrian facilities. Most travellers use it as a quiet lakeside stop or a base for exploring the Chiemsee islands, not as a destination itself.
